Homer, Winslow,는 

 미국  Boston, Massachusetts(1836.2.24~1910.9.29) 에서 태어나 , 

 미국의 화가. 잡지(하퍼스 위클리)의 삽화가로 남북전쟁을 담아냈다.

통속적인 주제에 서정성을 곁들인 작품들을  그려냈다. 

주요작품 으로는(멕시코 만류)(전선에서 온 포로들)등 다수.
